Yes!  Educator, artist and designer!
 
I am NJ State certified to teach Art K-12. I also hold a Masters Degree in Education with a concentration in Special Education and a NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities certificate. I have 21 years experience working as an art educator in a private school teaching grades Pre K -12.  In my classroom I have used a child directed, choice based approach (Teaching for Artistic Behavior) because children learn best when they have a say in their own learning. I also use my educator training to facilitate art experiences and installations for The Franklin Reformed Church's worship and education programs. 

I am an artist.  I am a visual thinker and learner. I am curious.  I not only create art pieces, but I also experience the world as an artist.  I make unique connections, think new thoughts, and seek to understand the world in new ways.  I have included some art pieces that I have created and some that my students have created in the galleries on this site.  

I am a designer.  I have designed things which you might expect such as a cd cover, logos, stained glass pieces, banners, print pieces, and this web site(!) but I have also designed lessons, learning units, curricula,  and inter-generational learning experiences.
